Reagan Middle School science teachers were recently trained on the use of the new mobile cart of student devices funded by a donation from BorgWarner.
BorgWarner provided a generous donation to provide this new resource to the science department at RMS to assist the teachers to better utilize the online components of the middle school science curriculum. This will also allow them to take advantage of district resources, including Microsoft 365 and the Learning Management System Canvas on a regular basis. These new devices are a step toward the district goals of moving forward with a one to one environment, where every child has access to a computer.
The mobile cart has Chromebooks from Lenovo, which have a battery life that will allow them to be used all day. The cart will allow for more dynamic activities for the students, and to engage the students to a higher degree in their coursework.
Representatives from BorgWarner stopped by to see the teacher training. We’d like to thank Deb Trancoso, Matt Guthrie and Nic Chandler for stopping by and we want to thank BorgWarner for their support of our students!
