AG in the Classroom

Mrs. Pratt, Lee County Ag Coordinator, visited a kindergarten classroom at Washington Elementary this week to talk about the ingredients of pizza.  She showed pictures and explained different breeds of dairy cows.  She then explained how the milk from a cow is turned into cheese that we put on our pizzas.  The students then made their own dairy cow with an official ear tag!

The top picture shows Mrs. Pratt going over the different breeds of dairy cows.

The picture below shows Mrs. Pratt and the kindergarten students showing off their dairy cows.

Mrs. Pratt also visited with students at Jefferson Elementary to do some milk experiments.
