Chinese Folk Singers Visit Dixon

We were fortunate to have Manhu, visit several of our schools and perform and interact with our students.

Manhu is a Chinese folk group and they performed and engaged our students with music and dance.  They asked for volunteers from the audience to learn to play a leaf and then taught boys and girls some simple, traditional dance steps.

Many of our Madison students joined in with Manhu in counting to 20 in Chinese.  It was a fun, engaging and educational experience for our students.

Our Friends at Woodlawn Art Academy and the Arts Midwest World Fest are presenting the folk sounds of rural China with Manhu with an upcoming performance.  Click here to open the flyer with more details about their public performance on September 23rd.
