Principals’ Report:   Discussion was had about staggering party times and or possibly having them on half days of school. Further discussion will need to be had.

Old Business:

Spring Fundraiser: Fannie Mae Candies and Wooden Spoon Frozen Cookie Dough. Sale dates will be from February 1st thru February 15th with Delivery date on March 15th @ Jefferson School Gym from 1:30 – 6:30 pm.

New Business:

 Spring Book Fairs:  Washington: 03/05/18 thru 03/09/18 with the possibility of Family Night being on 03/08/18. RMS/ Madison: 04/16/18 thru 04/23/18 @ 1:00 pm. Jefferson: 04/30/18 thru 05/04/18.

Valentine Parties: Will take place on 02/14/18 @ 1:00 pm.

Spring Pictures:  RMS: 03/02/18, Elementary Schools: 03/15/18.

Battle of the Books: Will take place on 04/19/18.

RMS has students doing a “Do the Right Thing Service Project”.

Welcome and Introductions:  President Carol Jimenez called the meeting to order at 7 pm and welcomed everyone to the 2017-2018 school year. Officers and school representatives were introduced.

Principals’ Report:   Off to a fabulous Start and getting smoother every day.

Old Business:

Financial Requests/ Invoices: Must be submitted before a check will be issued. The Principal must also sign the invoice.

All Field Trip Requests: Must be submitted NO later than the October 16th PTO Meeting date.

New Business:

1. Volunteer sign –up sheets were sent out to parents in Wednesday packets. Parents, please sign up to help your child and his/her teacher by volunteering this school year. Volunteers will be assigned and notified of their duties by the school representatives.

2. Elementary Picture Day will be on September 29th (grades pre-K through 5th) RMS was on August 23rd.

3. Room Parents will be assigned by classroom teachers: if assistance is needed teachers will contact school representatives.

4. Parties were discussed, dates are as follows: Halloween 10/31/17, Holiday 12/21/17, Valentines 02/14/17. All parties take place at 1:00 pm.

5. Fall Book Fairs: Jefferson/ Washington will be from 09/18/17 thru 09/22/17. RMS/Madison will be 10/16/17 thru 10/23/17.

6. Fall Fundraiser: Dates to be sold will be 10/11/17 thru 10/25/17 with delivery date of 11/16/17. Items to be sold will be butter braids and 1 other item to be determined.

7.  Teacher Luncheon will be held week of 10/04/17 in conjunction with parent teacher conferences.

3. 3rd Grade Chana School House on October 12,13,16,17 (1 bus x 4 days) = $ 895.44,

    Admission $ 5.00 per student x 200 students = $1,000.00 (Total of $1895.44) APPROVED
