There will be no school on Monday the 27th- Happy Memorial Day! 

  • Reminder- if you have ANY outstanding fees for this year- including fees for lost/damaged library books, lost/damaged classroom books, outstanding lunch fees, lost PE locks, etc- they need to be paid by the end of the day on June 4th.  If they are not paid, students will not be allowed to attend the yearbook signing and other end of the year activities. 

  • Yearbook Signing Day will be held Wednesday, June 5th from 1:45 - 2:15.  All pre-ordered books will be distributed on the 5th at 1:30. Yearbook CASH & CARRY SALE will begin promptly at 1:45pm in the main office.  Cash only. We will sell until the books run out.  There are only 50 remaining! 

  • End of the year assemblies will be held on the last day of school, June 6th. 6th grade assembly will be at 8am and 7th grade will be at 10am, both in the RMS gym. The 8th grade assembly will be held at 9am in the Madison gym. Please check in at the main office and bring a driver’s license if you would like to attend! 

  • LOST AND FOUND- We have a large assortment of smaller Lost and Found items in the office- keys, glasses, watches, etc. Please come check or have your student look through it before the end of the year if there is anything that you are missing! 

  • Please see an attachment regarding a PTC fundraiser called School Tool Box.  This is an easy way to buy your child’s school supplies AND support the PTC! 

  • 8th graders and parents: We need pictures of all 8th graders!! Please send photos from school, sports, birthday parties, etc. of students at any age. Send them to the remind app- join with class code @hkdb4e- or you can give a physical picture to Mrs. Bilharz or the main office. Any size photo will be accepted! 

  • 7th grade band students should go to band on Thursdays- that’s today!- to practice graduation music. 

  • 8th grade Promotion & Dance- 8th grade promotion and dance information/permission slips have been handed out to all 8th graders. Please ask your student for this paperwork or see the attachment as it has all the information needed to be prepared for June 6th.    

  • Students- Reminder that there should be NO LIQUIDS besides water in your locker! This includes gatorade, pop, coffee, etc! 

  • PARENTS OF 8TH GRADERS: Freshman school physical packets have gone home with students. PLEASE OBTAIN PHYSICAL AND IMMUNIZATIONS BEFORE THE 1ST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL! Now is a great time to schedule your child's doctor appointment. 

  • Reminder that there are to be NO HATS OR HOODS worn inside the building at any time! 

  • STUDENTS- Remember that before, during and after school hours you are to be courteous and respectful of the people and properties around us. Let’s be good neighbors to those that live around RMS!   

  • SAFE SCHOOL HELPLINE- The safe school helpline is a 24/7 communication service that empowers school administrators to make proactive decisions as well as creating responsibilities for students, parents and community members to share in the maintenance of a safe learning environment. The service provides children with the opportunity to anonymously report wrongdoing, bullying and negative issues that would impede the learning process.  The safe school helpline has proven itself to be a very effective tool in preventing and deterring negative acts and practices from occurring in over thousands of schools.  Please see previous attachments or stop in the main office to get more information and access this important reporting tool today! 

  • PARENTS- If your student is riding the bus home with a friend OR if your student is having a friend ride home with them, bus notes are needed!  BOTH PARTIES are to have a note signed and dated by a parent saying who is going home with whom. Students need to bring both notes to the main office to be signed.  

  • PARENTS/STUDENTSHomework Club has started back up and it runs after each full school day from 2:15-3:00.  Homework Club will NOT be held on ½ days or early release days.  Please stop in or call your counselor to get signed up!  Students in Homework Club need to arrange a ride for pick up at 3:00 at door #1.  Mrs. Mills will run Homework Club again this year and is a great asset in assisting students with understanding/finishing work and general student organization!  

  • STUDENTS 6th, 7th, 8th graders all enter thru Door #8 for breakfast, to enter for the day and to leave at the end of the day.  In the morning you will enter through Door #8 and wait in the gym until the bell rings (same as last year).  If you are coming to school late (after 7:45 a.m.) due to tardiness or being at an appointment, you must enter thru door #1 to sign in and get a pass.  RMS students are not allowed in the Madison wing. 

  • PARENTS- If you have health concerns, please stop in or call to speak with Nurse Hoyle.    

         Registration – the fees per student are now $110.

Meetings –  

Builder’s ClubWednesday, May 29th @7:10am- Rm 139 

Choir Rehearsals 6th grade T/TH, 7th/8th grade M/W/F - both meet during the first lunch period and then you have lunch during the second lunch period on those days 

GLEE CHOIR- meets every Tuesday, 2:30-3:30pm. Please make arrangements to always be there. (The Glee Choir members list is posted on the choir room door.)
