Dear Parents/Guardians:
On December 5th and 6th, 2015 Madison School will be participating in a program designed to educate children about sexual abuse prevention. The presentations and program materials are provided by the YWCA of the Sauk Valley’s Sexual Assault Department. The Sexual Assault staff receives their funding, education, training and material from the Illinois Coalition against Sexual Assault.
The materials used in the presentations are appropriate for the child’s age and teach the children the facts of child sexual abuse and their vulnerabilities at different ages. No violence or sex is depicted. Clear distinction is made between normal, healthy affection and sexual abuse.
You may choose not to have your child participate in this program if you wish. If you do NOT want your child to participate, please contact our office.
