Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Cross Country teams who both placed 1st at their Sectional last Saturday in Freeport. They will be competing this Saturday at the IESA STATE MEET in Normal! We will be having a State Send Off Parade this Friday, October 17th at 2:30pm. Please listen for the announcement to line up the hallways and send our teams off in style! Best of luck to all of our runners!!!

Washington D.C. Trip - Attention 8th graders! Don’t miss your chance to learn all about the Washington, DC trip! An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, October 16th at 6:00 pm in the RMS cafeteria. This trip is an amazing opportunity, so be sure to attend the meeting and find out more! If you have questions, see Ms. Becker. 

Ireland and England Trip 2027 - Attention 8th graders – You are invited to an informational meeting about a trip to Ireland and England after your freshmen year. The meeting is tonight at 6:30 pm in Mrs. Beck’s room – 206 - in Dixon High School. You can enter through the front doors starting at 6:15. The nine-day trip starts on June 4, 2027. Bring your parents or guardians to learn about this fun, educational opportunity for both students and family members! 

RMS Halloween Dance is coming up on Friday, October 17th from 6 to 8 pm. Admission is $3.00. To attend, you must have no discipline referrals and at least 90% attendance from October 6th through the 17th. There will be a DJ, games, concessions, a costume contest, and even a pie-eating contest! Start planning your costumes now - it’s going to be a great night! 

Choir - Join us for an evening of music! The 7th & 8th grade choirs along with the Dixon High School Choirs will present their Fall Concert on Tuesday, October 21 at 6:30pm at the James A Wiltz Auditorium. Come support our talented students and celebrate their hard work this season!   

Art Club meets every Monday and Wednesday from 2:45pm-3:15pm in Mr. Taylors’ Room. 

Drone Soccer meets every Tuesday from 2:45pm-4:00pm in the RMS Cafeteria. Anyone who has recently finished volleyball or cross country or anyone else who would like to join, please feel free to come to our next meeting and join our growing club! 

FCA meets every Thursday morning at 7:20am in Room 228/229 

Student Council will meet on Wednesday, October 22nd  at 7:15am in room 139.  

Builders Club will meet on Wednesday, October 29th at 7:15am in room 139.  

Royal Review will meet on Wednesday, October 29th from 2:45pm in room 139.  

RMS Book Club will meet on Wednesday, October 29th in the RMS Library at 2:45pm.
