8th Graders interested in DHS Choir: There will be a pizza party & Q&A with Ms Rogers & High School Choir students on Monday May 13. Please sign up outside the choir room by Friday May 10!
Year End Rec Incentive – Students can earn a trip to the Dixon Park District Rec Facility by meeting the RMS May Incentive Goal, beginning Monday, May 6th and running through the grade level designated trip day. Students must be passing all classes, no ALE or OSS, 2 discipline referrals or less as well as 2 tardies or less. Students meeting all of these requirements will attend this trip from 8am-10am on the following dates: May 22nd – 7th Grade, May 23rd – 8th Grade, and May 28th – 6th grade. Let’s work hard and finish strong!
SWAP - Attention 8th grade students! SWAP scheduling is currently open for Summer 2024 participants. A signed permission slip must be on file to schedule hours. You can schedule your work hours/days by visiting www.dps170.org and clicking 'SWAP Sign Up' in the lower right-hand corner (or scroll down on mobile device). Reagan Run Training Camp
6th Grade Students interested in running in the Reagan Run and who want to train for it, there will be a training program starting on May 28th. Information is available in the Reagan Office.
RMS BAND/CHOIR CONCERT – The RMS Band and Choir Spring Concert will be held on Thursday, May 9th beginning at 6:30pm in the James A. Wiltz Auditorium at Dixon High School.
RMS YEARBOOKS - We are excited to distribute the 2024 RMS Yearbook on May 24th. We have a limited number of yearbooks still available for purchase. Once they are gone, they are gone. Don’t delay. We anticipate they will all sell out. If you would still like to purchase your student a yearbook, you can do so at, www.jostens.com or you may purchase one at school as well. Please have your student see Mrs. Wilson in room 210 for an order form.
AWARDS ASSEMBLIES – 4th quarter Awards Assemblies have been scheduled for the following dates/times. 8th Grade will be at 8:00am on Friday, May 24th in the Madison Gymnasium. On Wednesday, May 29th, the 6th Grade Assembly will be held at 8:30am and the 7th Grade Assembly will follow at 9:30am in the RMS Gymnasium.
