Explore RMS and get comfortable with your schedule before the first day!

📅 RMS Open House
🕔 Tuesday, August 12th | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Meet your teachers, walk your schedule, and get ready for the year ahead!
Visit the Hidden In Plain Sight display in Room 210.

🏃‍♀️🏐 Fall Sports Meeting (Mandatory)
🕕 Tuesday, August 12th | 6:00 PM - 7:00PM (Immediately following Open House)
Location: RMS Cafeteria
This meeting is required for all RMS Cross Country and Volleyball athletes and their parents.

📅 First Day of School
🗓 Wednesday, August 13th
Doors open & breakfast served at 7:15 AM (Enter through Door 8)
Students arriving after 7:45 must use Door 1
WIN period starts at 7:45 AM
Half-day dismissal at 11:15 AM
(Note: This will be the standard early release time on future half days as well.)

🚧 Reminder: Ongoing city construction may impact your route to and from school.
Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time for drop-off and pick-up.

Free Summer meals for kids are still running through next week by DPS 170. Reminder: No meal this Thursday, June 19th due to the holiday. Also, please see the United Way flyer for information on Wednesday grab and go meals.

Attention DPS Families! Walk in Registration is July 24th, 2025. Returning students can go to the District Office and get help with online registration. New students can go to the District Office anytime to fill out paperwork. If you have any questions, reach out at 815-373-4966.
