A rare celestial event will be occurring in April. A total solar eclipse will be visible over the United States on April 8th, 2024. According to NASA, after the total solar eclipse on April 8th, 2024, the next total solar eclipse that can be seen from the contiguous U.S. will be on Aug. 23rd, 2044.
The April 8th eclipse will occur between 1:30pm and 2:40pm and we will see approximately 91% coverage. This time frame is when students are loading the buses and traveling home. Please ensure your children know they are not to look at the eclipse.
