At the January 27th Board of Education study session, Mrs. Empen asked for Friday, February 19, 2021 to be a Remote Learning Planning Day. This would allow DPS #170 staff members to receive their second COVID-19 vaccine and prepare for RMS and DHS students who will be returning to learn on-site the following Monday. Mrs. Empen checked with the Regional Office of Education to ensure that this was an appropriate use of a Remote Learning Planning day, and they confirmed it was.
On Remote Learning Planning days, teachers will provide paper assignments and information on Seesaw and/or Canvas for students. There will be no Zoom meetings with teachers on this day.
Individual buildings will be providing specific information to ensure students and parents know what is expected on this day.
