Lee County Special Education Association was formed in 1967. Currently, the cooperative serves two member districts in Lee County: Dixon Public School District #170 and Paw Paw School District #271.

LCSEA provides various Special Education Services to students of our Member Districts. Currently, LCSEA operates a Life Skills classroom, a Transition classroom, a Self-Contained Cross Categorical classroom and four sections of Early Childhood Education. Additionally, we provide support and a variety of trainings to teachers, paraprofessionals and parents of our member districts.

We believe education involves a partnership where school, community and parents communicate and work together to promote academic excellence, self-discipline and good citizenship.

Students with disabilities may receive related services as part of their individual education programs (IEPs). The Dixon School District will maintain related service logs that record the type and number of minutes of the related service(s) administered to such students. Copies of any related service logs will be available to parents/guardians at their child's annual review IEP meeting. Parents/guardians of students with disabilities may also request copies of their child's service logs at any time.
