Procedures for Submitting FOIA Requests:

Dixon Public Schools #170 requires that all FOIA requests for public records must be in writing via postal mail or e-mail. In your written request we ask that you state that the request is being made under FOIA and clearly specify what records you are requesting. If the request is being made for commercial purposes, then the Act states that you must disclose this to Dixon Public Schools. Dixon Public Schools has created a request form that may be used when submitting a written request. The request form can be downloaded here: DPS FOIA Request Form

Fees:

No fees shall be charged for the first 50 pages of black and white, letter or legal sized copies requested. After the first 50 pages, the fee for black and white, letter or legal sized copies shall be $.15 per page. Actual cost will be charged for other documents not of standard size and for the recording medium (e.g. compact disk, tape, DVD).
