Today Dixon Public Schools was made aware of the incident outlined in the following press release from the Dixon Police Department.
We want to reassure our staff and families that this incident occurred several weeks ago, did not take place during school hours, and involved no threats to our students, staff, or schools.
Upon learning of the situation, Dixon High School administration promptly contacted the Dixon Police Department, and the two agencies have worked closely together throughout the investigation.
We sincerely thank the Dixon Police Department for its quick response, thorough investigation, and continued partnership with our district. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority.
