Dixon Public Schools is having their Regular Board Meeting on Wed., Jan. 17, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the District Office, 1335 Franklin Grove Road.
The meeting will be recorded and posted on the District’s YouTube channel and website. Those wishing to submit public comment need to email them to the Board President, Linda Wegner and to the Superintendent, Margo Empen, by Noon on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024. Public Comment received after this time may not be guaranteed to be read aloud at this meeting.

Reminder: Auditions for the spring musical, Pippin, will be Tuesday January 16 from 5:30-8:30 and Wednesday January 17 from 3:00-6:00. Students will sign up for a 30-minute time slot with up to 5 students at a time.
Students will only need to be present for the 30 minutes they sign up for and may leave when their audition is over.
Students may sign up with Mr. Hoffman in room 404 or with Ms. Cibu in the guidance office.
There is a Family Fun Day sponsored by the ROE #47 on Saturday, February 10th from 2-4pm at the Build A Pet Clubhouse in Sterling! Please see attached flyer for more information.
Dixon Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 12, 2024 due to the impending winter storm. This will be a snow day made up at the end of the year. There will be no practices tomorrow. Please check our website for updates on athletic events. Shrek the Musical will now be on Saturday at 2 pm and 7 pm and again on Sunday at 2 pm. Please be safe, and we will see you on Tuesday.

Congratulations to Darius Harrington on his career night versus South Beloit on Saturday, January 6th at Lancaster Gym! His 37 points helped drive the Dukes to a 56-34 win! It also tied him for 10th all-time on the Duke's single game scoring record! #GoPurple #BePurple
Sharing information from our friends at Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois. On Thursday, January 18th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church there will be a Daisy Game Night! This is intended for grades K-1st. Please see attached flyer for more information.
The first part of the Empowered Parent Series is on Monday, January 22nd from 7-8pm on Zoom so there is no travel involved. The Zoom link will be sent after you register. Participants who register and participate in all sessions will have the opportunity to win a gift card!
DHS Cheer Clinic 2024 is on Thursday, February 1st from 4-6:30pm at Dixon High School! The payment deadline is Wednesday, January 24th and is $30. Please see attached flyer for more information.
The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is almost here! It is open to Boys and Girls ages 9-14. This is a FREE event! The fun will take place at St. Mary School on Sunday, January 14th, 2024 - The doors will open at 11:30am for registration. Competition begins at noon. Winners of this Council event will move on to compete at the District level, then Regional and State.
