Good morning TJD Families,
The TJD campus is without water due to an electrical problem with the well. As a result, the students will be dismissed for the day. Buses have been arranged to pick students up at 9:30am this morning and students will be taken home. If as a parent you plan to pick your child up at school, please contact the TJD office at (815) 888-0002 and the staff will hold your child for pickup. Arrangements are being made for students to be sent home with a cold lunch.

The DHS AP Spanish Language and Culture class celebrated El Día de Reyes today by trying a rascón de reyes, a popular pastry eaten on this day. Lily even found the surprise inside! It was a fun cultural experience in which to partake after learning about holiday and how other Hispanic countries celebrate it.

As the Dixon Christmas Classic wraps up on Monday, the Duchesses will face off against the Stillman Cardinals for third at 5:00PM, and the Byron Lady Tigers will face off against the Sterling Golden Warriors at 6:30PM for first place. The Duchesses 🎳 traveled to the Geneseo Holiday Invite and both the Varsity and JV teams earned the 1st place trophies.
Maddie Kirby led the varsity team with a tournament high 1040 series.
Mollee Wickert took 2nd high game with a 211 game.
