Attention DPS Families! You can sign up with this flyer for the upcoming DHS Cheer Team 4th-8th grade Clinic on February 20th.

The Boys Bowling team had regionals on Saturday in Sterling. The team placed 8th overall with two individuals advancing to sectionals in Rockford next Saturday, Aaron Fitzanko and Sam Gingras. They earned the 4th and 5th individual spots with scores of 1,218 and 1,217. #BePurple

This week’s Spirit Stick winner is one of our outstanding 6th grade math teachers, Mrs. Jen Page. Mrs. Page consistently goes above and beyond to create an engaging and exciting learning environment where students feel motivated to learn math. As our Math Department Facilitator, she is always exploring new ideas and innovative strategies to strengthen instruction and help students develop a love for math. She takes the time to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and confident in their understanding of the material. Mrs. Page is also always willing to support her colleagues and serves as a wonderful mentor to many. She continuously strives to grow and improve in order to best support both students and staff. Thank you, Mrs. Page, for all that you do—we are truly lucky to have you at RMS!

Mrs. Hansen's DHS English 9 Honors classes explore the novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Groups chose to deep dive into a specific character, ultimately creating a (fake) Instagram for that character.

DUKES BASKETBALL UPDATE

Due to a scheduling error, Elgin HS is unable travel tomorrow. The 1/13/26 boys basketball games are cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Dukes will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to Winnebago HS.
