The Board of Education will meet tomorrow at 6 pm for their regularly scheduled August meeting. We now live stream all Board Meetings, and a link will be provided prior to the meeting. Send all public comments to President Wegner or Supt. Empen prior to the meeting to be read during Public Comment. We have limited seating onsite, but welcome the public to attend.
DHS students can pick up their Chromebooks in the cafeteria parking lot on Monday, August 17th or Tuesday, August 18th from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm.
The Board will be voting next Wednesday on the elementary Return to Learn Plan. The consensus was to follow RMS & DHS's in-person 2 days/week blended learning or totally remote instruction. Parents can contact their child's schools if you haven't registered yet, are changing your mind, or if you have any questions. Attention WACC Students - WACC begins classes on August 17. Administration is asking you to meet at 9 a.m. in the Wiltz Auditorium to review rules and expectations prior to being bused to WACC. Masks are required at the meeting, on the bus, and at WACC. If you have questions, please contact the main office (815-453-4966) or your counselor (815-453-3490).
At the regularly scheduled August 12th Board Meeting, the Board will vote on the amended 2020-2021 school calendar. Students' first day of school will be on Monday, Aug. 31, 2020 from 7:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. Principals will be communicating building specific information over the next days and weeks. #GoPurple

A special board meeting is schedule for 8-7-20 at 4 pm. We have returned to in-person meetings, but space is limited due to social distancing. Attention Parents! Information from District Nurse Hafer - Students including remote learning students, entering Kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade are required by the State of Illinois to show proof of a current physical and updated immunization record.
12th grade students are required to show proof of the Meningococcal vaccine that was given on or after their 16th birthday.
Proof of these medical records need to be turned in to your school nurse by the first day of school, to avoid exclusion. Please contact your building principal or Nurse Hafer if you have any questions.
