Lumen Touch, our student information system, is very concerned about the integrity of our systems and your privacy. Lumen was fortunate to intercept some suspicious activity and conducted an immediate review of all servers and customers leading to the discovery of an employee user account being compromised. Your information has not been compromised but out of an abundance of caution ALL users will be required to change their password. The next time you login to Lumen you will be required to change your password.
Passwords must contain the following:
Password should be no less than 8 character.
Password should include 1 uppercase letter.
Password should include 1 lowercase letter.
Password should include 1 special, non-alphanumeric character.

Dixon Public Schools is having their Regular Board Meeting on Wed., Dec. 16th at 6:00 p.m.
Due to COVID-19 and the Governor's orders, we are limiting the number of persons to 10 who can be on-site at the Board meetings to Board members and Administrators. We will continue to video stream the meeting through YouTube and will provide the link to this video on our website and social media sites prior to the meeting. Those wishing to submit public comment need to email them to the Board President, Linda Wegner at lwegner@dps170.org and the Superintendent, Margo Empen at mempen@dps170.org by Noon on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. We are hiring. We have 2 teaching positions open for the 2nd semester.
Grab & Go Lunch Families we will be adding another pick-up day on Friday, December 18th from 8 to 11 am. We will be handing out 5 bags that day to help get you through the break. Pick up will be at your current locations. If you are not a Grab & Go Family but would like to receive these please contact your school or the district office at 815-373-4966.
It's week two of the PRIDE mask fundraiser to help support our hardworking DHS students and teachers. Stop by Coffee Crush before 4pm to grab some coffee today, and to purchase a mask for $15. (We accept either cash or checks made out to DHS)
Information from the Lee County Health Department regarding the CDC guidelines:
All Lee County Residents should continue to abide by 14-day quarantine guidelines until further notice. The new guidelines outlined by CDC for 7- or 10-day quarantines have not been adopted by IDPH at this time. With the new guidelines come other requirements that our community members will need to adhere to in order to have the reduced quarantine time, if those are utilized at a later date. Any changes will be announced by LCHD.
Our nurses and administrators will continue to follow the 14-day quarantine guidelines. We will keep you informed if that should change in the future.
Remember to reach out to your building nurse if you have any questions, or if you need to report a symptomatic or COVID positive student.

If you are a Buddy Bag Family and are having trouble getting to St. Paul's Church for our normal pick up on Thursday's between 5 & 6 pm, please feel free to stop by Friday's from 9am - 2pm. Your bags will be waiting for you in the rear vestibule of the church by the driveway. Thank you.

PRIDE Mask Fundraiser
The DHS PRIDE Committee is selling masks for $15 @ Coffee Crush for the next two weeks M-F. Funds received will go back to our staff and students! So, grab some coffee and pick up a mask! (Masks sold separately from coffee crush products, we accept cash or checks made out to DHS)
You can still sign up for Grab & Go breakfast/lunch bags. Call the school where you'd like to pick them up. They are free to any student enrolled in DPS #170. Wednesday is our next pick-up day at Washington, Jefferson, Madison/Reagan, and in front of Lincoln School.
