DHS graduation will be held inside Lancaster Gymnasium today, May 26th. Doors will open at 12:00 and the ceremony will begin at 1:00.

As the final activity of the year, Mrs. Beck's English 10 Honors classes listened to artist and poet Dr. Gooden read selections of poetry from her book Night Forms. She also discussed what it was like growing up in Birmingham, Alabama during the Civil Rights Movement. Additionally, Honors students did an awesome job reading an original poem with Dr. Gooden that they wrote using one of her poems as a model. After the students left class, Dr. Gooden took time to autograph her second poetry book for them.
